Philosophy
Betterstories Limited, the newest ideas agency in Dhaka, has been established in late 2008 jointly by a women entrepreneur, a development professional and an environmentalist to solve the core of the problems of this country:Leadership Crisis. It has a very ambitious goal of creating a whole new generation of leaders for Bangladesh through entrepreneurships. At the core of this organisation is the programme called Leadership through Entrepreneurship which aims to develop at least a thousand leaders by 2050 prepared to run the country.
As a matter of principle, Betterstories has decided not to ask for or accept any donation or grants but raise its own funds.
Betterstories takes short-term projects to mobilise resources, network and support for this long-term and very challenging goal. The recent such work includes a Competition Fund launching for innovations in extreme poverty ideas, an Environment-friendly Housing Project prototype development and advising a cooperative poultry firm to transform into a responsible, ethical and sustainable enterprise.
